Fighting Censorship with Positivity!

I'll Be The Moon selected for new initiative

I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with you today!

My publisher, The Collective Book Studio, has joined forces with the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) in an incredible new initiative called "We Are Stronger Than Censorship." This program is all about turning the negativity and fear of book bans into positivity and love—through the power of books.

Here’s how it works: For every book that’s banned or challenged between September 1 and September 30, 2024, two or more books will be donated to communities and organizations that need them most. It’s a bold stand against censorship, and I couldn’t be prouder of Angela Engel and her team at CBS to be part of it.

Even more exciting, "I'll Be the Moon" has been selected as one of the titles that will be donated through this program!

"We believe deeply in the message of this book, and knowing it will reach even more readers, especially in challenging times, is incredibly meaningful to us," CBS said.

I just wanted to spread the good news and let you know how honored I am to be a part of this incredible cause. Thank you for being part of my little community and for supporting the stories that matter - including I'll Be The Moon and Seré la luna.

Stay tuned for more updates!

Be bold, like the moon...
